Rates:
These prices are based on a up-to-four people occupancy.
Low
season: $ /week (November, January, February, March)
Mid Season: $ /week (April, May, October, December)
High Season: $ /week (June, July, August, September)
Christmas and Easter weeks $ per week.
All rentals: minimum
one week stay, from Saturday to Saturday.
Arrival: Saturday, between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Departure:
Saturday by 9:30 am
*In order to secure your reservation, a 50% downpayment is due upon
agreement; balance payment is due no later than 4 months prior to occupancy
of property. Last minute rentals (3 months or less prior to occupancy)
must send full payment immediately. Personal checks are accepted.
Cancellations. Full payment means you are committed to the rental.
Once full payment has been made, if you need to cancel for emergency reasons,
you need to send The Roman Well a written notification, no less than 3 months
prior to arrival date. If you cancel three months prior to arrival
date, you will get your money back minus 20% of total rental fee. If
you cancel during the last two months prior to arrivale date, your money will
be forfeited. The reason for this is due to the fact that most bookings
are usually made close to a year in advance, and the opportunity to re-rent
within the three months prior to rental date, is close to impossible.
Heating: heating fees depend on how much gas you consume.
Generally, cold months run about 100-125.Euros per week. In NY city I
pay more than this.
Final Cleaning: $ A one time payment of $ for final cleaning is
required. If you are renting two weeks to a month, final cleaning
will be $ . Additional cleaning during your stay is available upon request,
at your expense.
Damages & Charges: Visitors are required to act in a responsible
manner at all times. The visitor is responsible for ensuring the property
is left, upon departure, in the same condition it was found upon arrival.
The Roman Well reserves the right to recover from visitors the
cost of any loss or damages caused by a failure to respect fixtures, items,
furniture or anything belonging to the property. To avoid damages,
please do n ot move furniture, lift lamps, take things off the wall, etc.
Also, please do not throw anything that is not soluble in kitchen sink or in
bathroom sinks and toilet bowls. For example, forks, knives, rags, sanitary
napkins, condoms, tampons, writing paper, plastic paper, cigarette buts,
matches, are not soluble. Please handle everything with care.
It goes without saying that bed linens, towels, pots, dishes, glasses, and
silverware are provided at no extra cost. Please use
with care. You will also find some toilet paper, napkins, sugar,
tea, salt, pepper, water, pasta, and a few other goodies, enough for your
arrival. Personal washing soaps, shampoos, perfumes, creams, sanitary
napkins or other personal products, will not be available. Please be
aware of the fact that stores close promptly at 8pm on Saturday night and are
open from about 8am to 1 pm on Sundays. Store hours during the week are
8am to 1 pm, then from 4 pm to 8 pm.
Security Deposit. If your stay is longer than two weeks, a $300.
security deposit is required. This money will be returned to you, after
you vacate the apartment and we've made sure you left no damages or anything
broken. If damages are greater than $300. you will have to reimburse
The Roman Well. If you stay less than two weeks, you are still
responsible for damages you may have caused during your stay.
Smoking: NO SMOKING ALLOWED WITHIN THE ROMAN WELL PROPERTY.
Tips: A tip is encouraged for Laura, the Italian/English-speaking young
woman who will meet you in Cortona and help you to the apartment, with
parking and with any inquiries you may have during your stay regarding the
apartment. Three weeks prior to your arrival I will supply you with her
contact information.
